About me

From Toronto to New York: bridging branding, research, and visual storytelling.

I’m a New York-based Interaction Design student at Pratt Institute. My focus is human-centred digital experiences that feel intentional, where every detail serves both the user and the story.

Before moving to New York, I spent three years working in graphic design and marketing roles in London. Before that, I was in Scotland earning a degree in Art History from the University of St Andrews. Together, these experiences shape my approach to branding, research, and visual storytelling.

I’m interested in visual communication and the stories interfaces tell. Beyond digital design, I love drawing, running, and reading. I use my sketchbook as another platform for visual storytelling.

The journey so far

Four cities, one commute.

I drew this short series for a small assignment in my fine art class. The prompt was ‘draw how you got here’, and I decided to show my move to New York as a train journey: getting to the station, waiting for the train, getting on, and the journey itself. I told it through the four places I’ve lived.

Getting to the station

I grew up in Toronto, and this is where I set the beginning of the journey: entering a station on the TTC just below the CN Tower.

Stop 02 St Andrews

Waiting for the train

I moved to Scotland when I was 18 to study Art History at the University of St Andrews. It was an incredible experience, and I showed this part of the journey as waiting at Leuchars station for the train to London.

Getting on the train

I moved to London after St Andrews to work in marketing and graphic design. I had the wonderful experience of completing a full rebrand for a food start-up, which is where my interest in UX/UI design grew.

The current journey

When I decided to switch careers to Interaction Design, I found the IXD program at Pratt, where I’m growing my skills in a field that mixes creativity with a sense for business and branding. I drew myself sitting on the train on the way to class, continuing the journey in New York.

Next stop: designing what comes after.

Off the clock

Running, reading, and making things.

Running

Miles on the clock

Running is a big part of my life. I regularly run half marathons, including the Kew Gardens Half and the Hackney Half, and race with Orchard Street Runners here in New York. I completed my first full marathon in Prague in 2025 and plan to do more. Here I am waving my way along the river.

Reading

On my shelf

Currently reading The River Is Waiting by Wally Lamb. The Secret History by Donna Tartt and Atonement by Ian McEwan are two of my favourite books.

Drawing and painting

Off the screen

Beyond digital design, I still make things by hand: pencil drawings in my sketchbook and oil paintings on canvas. A still life, pages from my sketchbook, and a greyscale study after Edward Hopper's Ground Swell.
